A computer virus named Koobface is currently spreading through facebook and twitter accounts. The virus appears as a message from a friend or contact, with a link for you to click on. A recent version of the virus sends a link claiming to be an interesting video. The link actually sends you to a fake facebook or twitter page where the virus can be installed to your computer. Once downloaded, the virus can take control of your facebook or twitter account to send a similar message to your friends and contacts. The virus can also allow an attacker to take remote control your computer or install other programs. Please do not click on suspicious links or attachments. Simply delete these messages. If you have opened a message similar to this and believe your computer is infected with a virus, please put in a Track-It.
