Buddy Storm

one time when I was in high school, my boyfriend at the time was at the house. It was Christmas, and  Mama had te tree up in her living room. We were sitting there with the tree on and talking, when several of the ornaments went flying off the tree across the room. They didn't fall straight down, they went straight out about 5 or 6 feet. He jumped up, yelled and took off running out of the house and NEVER would set foot in My Mom's house again. It was actually sort of funny. I don't think the ghosts liked him.

Later on when I was dating Michael, he was like, "I don't believe in ghosts". Then he was in the house one day standing near the back door. Mama has one of the old chain type locks on that door. It wasn't locked so the chain was just hanging down. The chain suddenly jumped up in the air. Nobaody touched it or was near it. He didn't run, but he became more of a believer after that.

Another time I was outside wih Michael just coming home from a date. Mama had a habit of flipping the porch light on and off a couple of times when I stayed out there to long to tell me to get inside. Well this night we'd been out there talking and the light flipped on and off, so I thought it was Mama. I went straight in and was going to tell her "aw Mama that's not cool" , but she was in bed sound asleep at the other end of the house.Nobody was awake. Now her house is like 63 feet long, the front door is near one end, and her bedroom is at the other end. She's not exactly a runner or anything either, so she couldn't have made it to the other end, and got into the bed by then. So who flipped the light on and off? Mama said Maybe was my Daddy telling me to come in. (He'd been dead for about 5 years by then)

I asked Mama why she said it might be Daddy's ghosr, when she didn't believe in ghosts.  I think she told me to "oh be quiet". That was her answer when she didn't really have an answer!

I think your mom secretly believes it's haunted

I don't know. I don't see how she can live there for over 40 years and not think it's haunted. She's so hard headed, she would never admit it if she did. Go outside and find a really hard rock, and look at it, and that's not as hard as her head. Just ask Luthersnail!
