It's a film by Paul Giamatti.  He feels that his soul and feelings are getting in the way of his life, so he goes to a company that stores them away for you, only instead of storing it, they sell them off, kind of like organ-trafficking, so he purches a different soul on the underground market that is not his, and goes in search of the person who purchased his.  It won at the Sundance Film Festival.  It looks intriguing.
